My stay at Bantu Hotel in Cartagena was truly memorable. The charming atmosphere and quirky decor made it a unique experience. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, and the breakfast spread was impressive, though the room did feel a bit dark at times. The location was perfect, allowing easy access to the vibrant local scene. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with just a few minor issues.

I had a great experience at Bantu, with its excellent location in the heart of the Old City and a lovely open-air vibe throughout the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, making my stay special, especially when they surprised me with a cake for my birthday. However, I did encounter a few issues with the toilet in my room and the flooding shower, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

I had a wonderful stay in a quirky boutique hotel that offered a unique ambiance right in the heart of Cartagena. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. The location was perfect for exploring the city's historic sights, but there were some hiccups with the service that could use improvement. Overall, it was great value for money, especially with the fantastic breakfast spread, but I did encounter some issues with noise and water access that shouldn't be overlooked.

However, the staff quickly turned the situation around with a generous room upgrade and truly exceptional service. The ambiance of the hotel is lovely, making it a great choice in Cartagena despite initial hiccups.

The Bantu Hotel offers a uniquely charming experience with its beautiful restoration in the historical center of Cartagena. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully designed, and the rooftop pool provides a stunning view. Breakfast is quite good, although a bit pricier than some local cafes. The staff is particularly helpful, though I did encounter a mix-up with a taxi service. Overall, a delightful stay in a vibrant location, despite some minor drawbacks.

Rooms

The rooms are not only clean but also feature gorgeous tiles and come with spacious, modern bathrooms. Some have unique open-air showers that connect with the rooftop pool area, although this can get noisy during the day.
Service

The service was attentive, and the staff, especially Jose, was kind and eager to assist with various needs. However, there was an inconvenience with a taxi reservation that wasn't handled as smoothly as I would have hoped.
Location

The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the historic center, making it super convenient to explore the charming streets and local attractions. It was easy to pop back for a break during the hot afternoons.
Dining

Breakfast was satisfying with a mix of local flavors, but I found it somewhat overpriced compared to other nearby options. Still, the selection of fruits and local dishes was enjoyable.
Facilities

The rooftop pool and hot tub area are fantastic spots to relax after a day of exploring. The hotel also features several cozy courtyards filled with vegetation and two resident toucans that added to the exotic ambiance.
